Situation

A rapidly growing church had multiple fragmented onboarding and cultural integration programs evolving independently, resulting in inconsistent learner experiences, cultural integration, unclear progression, limited leadership development, and reduced long-term sustainability. Through evaluating the participant experience and organizational needs, I identified opportunities to better align onboarding, cultural integration, volunteer development, and leadership preparation and development through a unified learning pathway.

Task

Lead the strategic redesign of the organization’s onboarding and leadership development experience by creating a scalable learning system that improved newcomer integration, communicated organizational mission and culture, developed volunteers, and prepared future leaders while remaining practical to implement with organizational priorities.

The initiative doubled consistent weekly leadership participation (3 → 6), expanded peak engagement to 10+ facilitators and cohort leaders, equipped 25+ mentors, and supported an onboarding system through which hundreds of participants completed portions of the program, contributing to more than 100 baptisms.

Empowered365 required a scalable digital learning ecosystem capable of serving individual learners, churches, ministries, and organizational partners through multiple learning pathways, credentialing options, memberships, and corporate training programs. Existing learning experiences lacked a unified learner journey, structured progression, and scalable architecture while needing to remain within the technical constraints of the LMS and a limited budget. The solution also needed to support long-term organizational growth without requiring major structural redesign as new learning products were introduced.
